You might have wondered what Agnes Nieuwenhuizen has been doing since she retired as manager from the Centre for Youth Literature.
She’s been busy. Writing a guide to teenage books.

As I am in it I can’t say too much, but New Zealand bookman Graham Beattie has been reading it.

We are all very Yay to learn that Jenny Valentine has won the 2007 Guardian Fiction Prize for Finding Violet Park (featured in the latest CYL Newsletter).
Finding Violet Park was also on the 2007 Inkys Longlist.
