Writing book reviews for publication
Learn the techniques of successful review writing in this half-day workshop with two leading professionals. Frances Atkinson is a journalist at The Age newspaper who writes regularly about young adult and children’s books. Pam McIntyre is the editor of Viewpoint, on books for young adults, celebrating its 15th year in 2007. Pam has also written for Australian Book Review and The Age. The workshops sessions will introduce you to the pitfalls of reviewing and how to avoid them. It’s a practical session designed to sharpen your skills. If you are a practising reviewer, or if you have ever wanted to write reviews for publication, don’t miss this opportunity to learn from the experts.
