The Kelly Quest
During this full-day program, students from Years 7 to 10 will visit the State Library, the Victoria Police Museum and the Old Melbourne Gaol Crime & Justice Experience. They will discover the story of bushranger Ned Kelly and his infamous gang by viewing unique primary source material. Each student will take on a character-based role for the day and view the notorious outlaws from their character’s perspective. They will be challenged by conflicting evidence and stories about Ned Kelly, his family and gang, their society and the law. Free education resource provided upon booking.

Mac Slater, Coolhunter: The Rules of Cool, with Tristan Bancks

Tristan Bancks, author of the Mac Slater, Coolhunter books, presents this end-of-year Bookgig for Years 3-8. Mac Slater just crashed the latest prototype of his flying bike in front of practically the whole school. So when the Coolhunters approach him and tell him he's an Innovator, Mac thinks they're crazy – he lives in an old bus with his hippie mum and doesn't have a TV, let alone a mobile! But the Coolhunters say he's so uncool he's, like, cool.
