Research skills workshop

Learn how to refine your research skills and manage the array of information available, using web tools for content management, sharing documents, citation and bibliographies and finding books nationally. Key outcomes: understand research principles; manage online resources; apply research processes.

Learning programs for groups

In addition to the scheduled learning programs listed, the Library can provide programs for groups, customised to meet particular needs. Topics include: book reviews and author biographies; researching artists; Australian journal articles; census and statistics; medical and health information; history of buildings; company and business information. Bookings must be made at least a month in advance.

Programs for Schools

The Education Programs Unit offers workshops and tours for school groups, catering for students at all year levels throughout the school year. Bookings should be made a month in advance. Full program and booking details can be found in the School Programs brochure.

Victorians on Vacation: Free teacher preview (Mornington)

Victorians on Vacation is a delightful free exhibition that celebrates holidays and leisure in Victoria since the 19th century. Its tour of regional Victoria ends at Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery (4 March–12 April). Local teachers are invited to this free preview, including a guided exhibition tour by State Library staff, complimentary refreshments and a free education resource kit.

Building lifelong research skills in your students – Professional development for teachers
