For Schools

A range of engaging educational programs are available for school students in Years 3-12. These programs, along with a variety of education resources, are developed by the Library's Education Programs Unit and the Centre for Youth Literature.

Reading

Focusing on the critical connection between literacy and reading for pleasure, this events-based program aims to encourage reading among young people.

Exhibition-focused Programs

These activities, tours and workshops are linked to the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS) and VCE curricula. They allow students to engage with the Library's impressive collections through permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Library & Research Skills

Orientation tours for all year levels and research skills workshops for senior students are available for school groups. All programs are linked to the VELS and VCE curricula.
