Paul Mitchell’s short fiction has appeared in Best Australian Stories (2004, 2005, Black Inc.), Overland, Island, Antipodes, the Sleepers Almanac and Cardigan Press anthologies. He won the 2004 University of Canberra National Short Story Competition and the 2005 Eastern Regional Libraries National Short Story Competition, and has won awards in several other competitions.
