Top Five Favourite Novels Announced

Mrs Terry Bracks announced the top five readers' favourites from the Reading Victoria campaign yesterday. The books were part of a shortlist of 20 novels set close to home. The winning novels were voted all-time favourites by Victorian readers who took part in the summer reading campaign.
The books that received the most votes are:
- Three Dollars by Elliot Perlman
- The Dressmaker by Rosalie Ham
- My Brother Jack by George Johnston
- Picnic at Hanging Rock by Joan Lindsay
- Shadow Boxing by Tony Birch.
Tony Birch, Rosalie Ham and Elliot Perlman were present to accept their awards, with publisher Lisa Berryman accepting the award for My Brother Jack.
