Elliot Perlman discusses Three Dollars - 24 Jan, 7pm
23 January 2007
Three Dollars is a brilliant portrait of a man attempting to retain his humanity, his family and his sense of humour in grim and pitiless times. Eddie is an honest, compassionate man. He finds himself, at the age of 38, with a wife, a child and only three dollars.
Elliot Perlman has been described by the Times Literary Supplement as 'Australia's outstanding social novelist'. He won many awards for his novel Three Dollars, for which he also co-wrote the award-winning screenplay. His other novels, The Reason I Won't Be Coming and Seven Types of Ambiguity have been international bestsellers and award winners.
