This is an example of the aesthetic I will create for the ElicitBILLBOARD
This week I developed a software to register the Bluetooth ID on peoples phones. It will feature in the next of the Elicit series ElicitBILLBOARD. The ElicitBILLBOARD is an interactive digital billboard. By using an individuals Bluetooth ID from their mobile phone to conduct a Google image search and, with the results, generate personalized montage on a digital canvas, I aim to make the social and ethical implications of wireless technologies tangible and, as a result, debatable.
The Google image search is one of three designs, another will be a typographical representation and one other i have yet to determine.
The physical design will be of a scrolling billboard seen at Melbourne’s train stations. Each of the three design interpretations of the Bluetooth ID will scroll down as is done on the real billboards.
It is important that the piece adhears to the aims - to make the social and ethical implications of wireless technologies tangible and, as a result, debatable.

My focus over the next year is to build my portfolio for entrance into the Royal College of Art to study for my Masters in Interaction Design in late 2007.

The SLV is an inspiration in that it has a diverse collection of varied media and seemingly only a handful of methods for accessing it; computers, librarians, galleries, postcard stands, tours, info-kiosks etc.
