Institutions as Ideas: Change at the University of Melbourne
Professor Glyn Davis AC, the University of Melbourne's Vice-Chancellor, delivered the 2006 Redmond Barry Lecture on Monday 17 July. He outlined how the University will combat intense domestic and international competition for students and staff by refocusing its research activities, and teaching professional courses at the postgraduate level. He explained the thinking behind this strategy, and its implications for Australian higher education.
