Ponch Hawkes is a widely published freelance photographer. Her work, which has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions, is represented in books, private collections and institutions such as Australian National Gallery, National Gallery of Victoria and State Library of Victoria. Ben Loveridge is an audio engineer, film and video editor and photographer. His work has appeared on music CDs and DVDs and in publications such as jmag, The Age, Fashion Journal, Beat magazine and the triple j website. Marc Buckner is a fashion and advertising photographer whose work is recognised by the Melbourne Art Directors Club and the Australian Graphic Design Association. His clients include Mercedes Benz and Target among many others. Session chair Jason Smith is Director of Monash Gallery of Art.

This panel discussion, held at the State Library of Victoria on 17 October 2007, was part of the program of events for the exhibition Famous: Karin Catt Portraits.
