George Negus grew up in Queensland and followed a teaching career with several years working as a journalist for national newspapers. He is now one of Australian television's most respected journalists and popular personalities.
Apart from his well-known television current affairs pedigree, which includes This Day Tonight, 60 Minutes, Foreign Correspondent and most recently Dateline, George has independently produced documentaries, facilitated conferences and served on boards and committees dealing with everything from Soccer Australia to Landcare and the Order of Australia Committee.
George co-authored a bestselling children's book series, Trev the Truck, with his partner, Kirsty Cockburn. He is also the author of Across the Red Unknown, By George!, The World from Italy and most recently The World from Islam. |
