Shane Maloney has worked as a swimming pool lifeguard, rock concert promoter, senior arts bureaucrat, Director of the Melbourne Comedy Festival and Cultural Director of Melbourne's Olympic bid. At one point he was also a contestant on Sale of the Century.
Shane is now one of Australia’s best loved novelists. He is the author of the award-winning Murray Whelan series of comic thrillers, which include Stiff, The Brush-Off, Nice Try, The Big Ask and Something Fishy. The books have been published in the US, UK and Europe, and two of the novels have been made into telemovies starring David Wenham.
Shane recently co-authored The Happy Phrase – Everyday Conversation Made Easily, a self-help book for people wanting to enhance their unintelligibility. |
