Wendy Harmer studied in Geelong and worked as a political journalist before developing into a comic writer and performer. She wrote for and performed in a number of ABC TV programs, including The Gillies Report and The Big Gig, and had her own late night chat show, In Harmer's Way. Wendy was also the host of a Sydney radio station’s top rating breakfast program for 11 years.

Wendy is the author of the humorous non-fiction books It’s a Joke Joyce, Love Gone Wrong and So Anyway, as well as a series of children’s books about Pearlie the fairy.

Wendy has just released her first novel, Farewell My Ovaries – an exploration of life, eternity, hormones and hair removal.
