Jane Clifton was born in Gibraltar to British Army parents and emigrated to Australia in 1961. She is a seasoned actor, singer, radio presenter and general show business all-rounder, but is best known for playing the evil inmate Margo in the long-running TV show Prisoner.

Jane’s first book, the comedic crime novel Half Past Dead, was a labour of love that took six years to write. It was shortlisted for the Ned Kelly Award for Best First Novel in 2002.  Jane has just released her second novel, A Hand in the Bush - a comic thriller set in Melbourne.
