Anna Ciddor is a Melbourne-based writer and illustrator who grew up in a household without television. Anna’s first career was as a mathematics teacher, but when her son and daughter were old enough to listen to storybooks Anna began to entertain the idea of writing her own. Since 1989 she has had over 45 non-fiction books published.
Runestone, the first novel of Anna’s popular Viking Magic series for 8-12 year olds, was shortlisted for the Children’s Choice Book Awards in 2003 and was selected as a CBC Notable Book in the same year. The second and third novels in the series are Wolfspell and Stormriders.
