Pam Macintyre (Convenor)
Pam Macintyre teaches children's and young adult literature in the Faculty of Education at The University of Melbourne. Pam is the editor of Viewpoint: on books for young adults. She reviews for Australian Book Review and is on the Schools Programming Committee of the Melbourne Writers’ Festival.
Kathy Kozlowski
Kathy Kozlowski started her professional life as a children’s librarian before moving into the book trade in the early ‘70s, working for Albert Ullin at the Little Bookroom. A specialist children’s bookseller for many years, she has also worked as a school librarian and in children’s publishing. She has been a judge for the Children’s Literature section of the Australian Human Rights Awards and is passionate about the importance of story and imagination in sharing cultural values and building community. Kathy is currently the Children’s Book Buyer at Readings, Carlton.
Chris Wheat
Chris Wheat teaches at the Senior Campus of Sunshine College. He has published four novels for young adults: Two-Stroke Shane, Loose Lips, My Excellent Lives and Grinders. He has had short stories and poetry published in various anthologies and has also published reviews and articles in Viewpoint and English in Australia. Chris is an occasional contributor to the Opinion page of The Age and a member of the schools’ programming committee of the Melbourne Writers’ Festival.
