Des Cowley (Convenor)

Des Cowley is the Rare Printed Collections Manager at the State Library of Victoria, and is responsible for the acquisitions of rare books for the State Collection. He is the book reviewer for Australian music magazine Rhythms, and contributes regular reviews on ABC radio in Queensland. He previously edited the literary broadside Overland Extra, and is a current member of the Editorial Committee of the La Trobe Journal. In 2005 he co-curated the State Library of Victoria's permanent exhibition Mirror of the World: books and ideas and has recently co-authored The World of the Book, available from Melbourne University Publishing in late 2007.

Rosemary Cameron

Rosemary Cameron is the director of The Age Melbourne Writers’ Festival. Prior to this she directed the Brisbane Writers Festival for three years. Rosemary was a judge of the Vance Palmer Prize for Fiction in 2006.

Lyn Gallacher

Lyn Gallacher has been a broadcaster with ABC Radio National for many years. Currently she's working on The Book Show making a series of Australian poetry specials. She has a PhD in literature and last year received a Creative Fellowship from the State Library of Victoria in order to study magic. She now knows the spell for making elephants disappear.
