Liam Davison (Convenor)
Liam Davison is the author of four novels, including The White Woman and The Betrayal, and two collections of short fiction. He received the National Book Council's Award for Fiction for his novel Soundings and has been twice shortlisted for the Victorian Premier's Literary Award. He writes regularly for the books pages of The Australian.
Louise Adler
Louise Adler is the CEO and Publisher of Melbourne University Publishing. Between 1977 and 1987 she taught English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University and the University of Melbourne. She then became the editor of Australian Book Review and subsequently the Publishing Director of Reed Books Australia. In 1994 she became the Arts & Entertainment Editor for The Age. Following this, Louise joined the ABC’s Radio National as the presenter of Arts Today and was the inaugural Deputy Director (Academic & Research) at the Victorian College of the Arts.
Rosemary Cameron
Rosemary Cameron is Director of the Melbourne Writers’ Festival. Prior to this, she directed the Brisbane Writers’ Festival for three years.
Michael Cunningham
Michael Cunningham is a librarian who currently works in educational administration. He trained as a journalist, working for the Sun News-Pictorial, and wrote extensively on cultural issues for Nation Review and Living Daylights. He spent 15 years managing record and book shops, including many years at Readings in South Yarra. (He is not the Michael Cunningham who wrote The Hours, but would love to receive the royalty cheques from Hollywood, should their addresses become confused.)
