Richard Buckham (Convenor)
Richard Buckham joined the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in 1982 as a producer in the Radio Drama and Features Department. He spent 1989 with the BBC in London as a radio drama director. In 1991 Richard trained as a theatre director at National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), then worked for two years as a resident director with the Australian Opera. Richard has been Artistic Director of New England Theatre Company and also worked as a freelance stage director, dramaturg and teacher in Sydney. Richard returned to the ABC as Executive Producer of Radio Drama and most recently been Editor of Performance and Features at ABC Radio National.
Deirdre Rubinstein
Deirdre Rubinstein has worked extensively in theatre for all the major Australian theatre companies and has performed her three solo shows to great acclaim, both here and abroad. She has also worked widely in television, winning an AFI Award for the ABC series, Palace of Dreams.
Tom Gutteridge
Tom Gutteridge's work covers directing, acting, dramaturgy, corporate training and teaching. He has directed shows for the Melbourne Theatre Company, Oz Opera, Opera Queensland, West Australian Opera, and the Melbourne Festival. Tom was Artistic Associate at Queensland Theatre Company from 1996-2001. As a dramaturg and script assessor, Tom has worked for the Victorian Premier's Literary Awards, the Sydney Theatre Company's Patrick White Award. He also writes, records and performs music professionally.
