The Dinny O'Hearn/SBS Prize for Literary Translation: Judges 2003

Daniele Kemp (Convenor)

Daniele Kemp is head of the French language program at SBS Radio Melbourne. She has worked in public relations for the Uniting Church, National Society of Red Cross and the National Languages and Literacy Institute of Australia. She has worked in broadcasting and journalism for many years.

Mammad Aidani

Mammad Aidani is a Melbourne-based writer, born in Iran. He is a published poet and novelist, but is best known for his critically acclaimed plays, including his recent works Waiting for the Sunset and It was ….then which were performed at La Mama. Mammad has also collaborated with musicians and exhibited his writings with visual artists. He is fluent in Persian, Dari, Italian and English and is literate in Arabic.

Jill Fenwick

Jill Fenwick has been a teacher of English and History at secondary level for 25 years. She has also presented The Writing and Book Show for Community Radio 88.3, was involved in the television program Writing Blocks and is a published author and editor.
