The Dinny O'Hearn Prize for Literary Translation
This prize is no longer being offered.
The Dinny O'Hearn Prize, offered between 1992 and 2003, was made to a translator for a work translated into English in any category of literature (including theatre, radio script and screen play) which had been published, performed or made available for sale in Australia in the eligible period.
Previous winners include: The Crystal Messenger, translated by Ton-That Quynh-Du (2000), Eyewitness by Seno Gumira Ajidarna, translated by Jan Lingard (1997), Maidenhome by Ding Xiaoqui, translated by Chris Berry and Cathy Silber (1994) and The Death of Napoleon by Simon Leys, translated by Patricia Clancy (1992).
