The Prize for Best Music Theatre Script: Judges 2008

| Guy Noble (Convenor)Guy Noble is one of Australia’s most versatile conductors, working with all the major symphony orchestras. He has worked as Musical Director or Supervisor on many musical theatre shows including Sunset Boulevard, Man of La Mancha, South Pacific, Titanic, Gypsy, and is Musical Supervisor for the Australian production of Phantom of the Opera and the forthcoming Morning of the Earth Live at the Palais Theatre (Chugg Entertainment). He directed and conducted the Showstoppers and Songs From The Movies concerts for the Sydney Symphony, has produced TV programs for Ovation Channel, presented the Dimensions series on ABC TV and has worked with international singers Harry Connick Jr, Dianne Reeves, and Ben Folds. Guy has worked on BBC Radio 3 and was the Breakfast presenter on ABC Classic FM for three years. He has published three books and recorded 6 CDs for ABC Classics. |

| Robyn ArcherRobyn Archer is a singer, writer and artistic director. She has written and performed in many of her own music theatre and cabaret works including The Pack of Women, A Star is Torn, Songs from Sideshow Alley, Le Chat Noir and Cafe Fledermaus (directed by Barrie Kosky to open the Merlyn Theatre at the Malthouse). As Artistic Director of the Adelaide Festival of Arts, the Melbourne International Arts Festival and also creator of Ten Days on the Island for Tasmania, Robyn has a strong history of commissioning new Australian music theatre including The Theft of Sita (Grabowsky/Jamieson), Yue Ling Jie (Lisa Lim), Cosmonaut (David Chesworth), Love in the Age of Therapy (Grabowsky/Murray-Smith), and Tesla (Constantine Koukias). Robyn curated this year's Alfred Deakin Lectures and is Artistic Director of The Light in Winter (Federation Square). Her new play Architektin opens at the Dunstan Playhouse in Adelaide in August 2008 as part of State Theatre SA's season. Robyn is an Officer of the Order of Australia, Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, Officer of the Order of the Crown ( Belgium), Recipient of ISPA's international Citation of Merit and holds Honorary Degrees from Flinders (SA) and Sydney Universities.
