The Prize for Best Music Theatre Script

This prize is offered for music theatre scripts produced in Australia and performed during the eligible period. The eligibility period in 2008, the prize's inaugural year, is two years - 1 May 2006 to 30 April 2008.

Music theatre is broadly defined as theatre where music has an integral part. This may include theatre combining music, song, spoken dialogue, cabaret, dance and opera. The prize recognises up to four co-authors.
