Peter Browne (Convenor)

Peter Browne is a research fellow at the Institute for Social Research, Swinburne University of Technology, where he co-edits Australian Policy Online and the UNSW Press Briefings series. He is a former humanities and social sciences publisher with UNSW Press and a former producer at Radio National. His book about refugee policy, The Longest Journey, was published in 2006.

Sarah L'Estrange

Sarah L’Estrange is a producer on ABC Radio National’s Book Show. She studied anthropology and international development and now, moving with the 21st century, is doing her masters in applied media. She has had a varied career doing research in health and social sciences and has worked in community development. Sarah is interested in the culture of books and writing as much as in the books themselves.

Terry Lane

Terry Lane is best known as an ABC broadcaster and newspaper columnist. He is the author of eight books (including three novels), short stories and essays. His writing has appeared in various publications and anthologies and his short story, 'Hickenlooper's Syndrome', was broadcast in a dramatised reading on BBC radio. Since retiring from the ABC and as a Sunday Age columnist he has become the regular writer on digital imaging for Livewire (The Age and the Sydney Morning Herald).
