The Alfred Deakin Prize for an Essay Advancing Public Debate
This prize is offered for a published essay by an Australian author that contributes to the national debate by the quality of its writing. The prize is offered for an essay of not less than 2000 words published in a print or electronic journal, newspaper or book form. The prize is for an individual essay. Date of first publication must be within the eligible period.
