Booktalkers

This series of events, organised by the Centre for Youth Literature (CYL), helps teachers, librarians and literacy professionals stay in touch with the Australian and international youth literature scene. Meet and hear the brightest and best in youth literature, explore ideas and issues, and share the passion for youth literature.

The 2008 program comprises:

• Meet the writers - with Sean Condon, Elizabeth Fensham, Lee Fox, James Roy, Allayne Webster and Andrew Kelly

• Bendigo booktalkers - with Sean Condon, Lee Fox and James Roy
  - Wednesday 5 March, 6.30-9pm
• Booktalkers special event: The Arrival, Spare Parts Puppet Theatre
  - Thursday 1 May, 6.30-8pm
• Words + music - with Ursula Dubosarsky, Michael Gerard Bauer, William Kostakis and Paul Collins
  Tuesday 29 July, 6.30-9pm
• Closer to the truth - with Randa Abdel-Fattah, John Heffernan, Melina Marchetta and Penny Hueston
  Tuesday 21 October, 6.30-9pm
