Opening Weekend & Guided Tours
My land, my stories Indigenous Victorians have always communicated their connection to the land and each other through stories, art and dance. Celebrate the living cultural landscape of Aboriginal Victorians in a weekend of activities and performances.
- Healing the Spirit – My possum-skin cloak: Join artist Vicki Couzens of the Gunditjmara and Kirrae Whurrong clans to learn how possum-skin cloaks tell stories of land, family and identity (Sat & Sun, 1–2pm).
- Join and Unite: See the Jindi Worobak Dance Troupe performing Wurundjeri dances (Sat, 3–4pm).
- Dreamtime Stories: Join Wamba Wamba man and storyteller Ron Murray for traditional dreaming stories of the south-eastern tribes (Sun, 3–4pm).
