Join Dr Chris McAuliffe, Director of the Ian Potter Museum of Art, as he leads a discussion about the role of the studio in Australian art, with a panel including art critic John McDonald, artist Daniel Moynihan, Max Delaney (Monash University Museum of Art) and Dr Alison Inglis (University of Melbourne).

The studio portrait: From Rembrandt to R. Ian Lloyd
Rothko observed that 'all painting is portraiture… and, in a way, all studios are portraits'. The portrait of an artist at work in his or her studio is a time honoured tradition. Join Andrew Sayers, Director of the National Portrait Gallery, for an insightful overview of the genre.

All about me: Digital self-portraits
Create your own self-portrait, using computer animation, collage and photos, then take it home on DVD. A one-day school holiday workshop for ages 7 to 13.
