Book Talk: The Western Front Diaries by Jonathan King

It's one of great forgotten stories of Australia's war history - the WWI Western Front campaign fought by 250,000 Australian troops from 1916-18. Unknown to most Australians, it eclipsed Gallipoli many times over in the number of troops involved and the numbers of lives lost.

Using the diaries of the soldiers, historian Jonathan King will talk about this little known Australian war history which is the subject of his book The Western Front Diaries.

Time: Saturday 11 October, 3pm (one hour talk followed by questions)
Venue: Village Roadshow Theatrette (Entry 3, La Trobe Street)
Free, but please book on 9347 6633 or events@readings.com.au

This event is being held in association with Sport and War -An Australian War Memorial Travelling Exhibition.
