Culture of Book Collecting

In this forum for booksellers, book collectors, librarians and readers, Andy Muirhead moderates a spirited and entertaining panel discussion about what books people collect, and why.

Are vintage comics as important as a first edition of James Joyce's Ulysses? Do first editions matter? Can reading pleasure be combined with the joy of collecting?

This event is presented at the State Library of Victoria on 14 October 2008 in association with the Australian and New Zealand Association of Antiquarian Booksellers.
