Dr Jon Barnett is an Australian Research Council Fellow in the School of Anthropology, Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Melbourne. Based at the Niue Ministry of Environment since 2006, he is currently assessing the human and national security risks of climate change to Pacific Islands and the capacity to manage these risks. Dr Barnett is a member of the Scientific Steering Committee of the Global Environmental Change and Human Security (GECHS) Project.
