more than 9 feet long - we then came
upon beautifull open Plains with a
few wattle and oak gentle rising Hill’s
of verry rich Black soil with Grass up to our
middle and as thick as it could stand, it
was verry bad walking through it, this
Land I think was richer than any high
Land I have seen before - we came
on to a small vally and to our joy found
a Tea tree scrub the upper end of a
small creek runing s-East - here
we found good water at Sun set
and remained for the Night

The wind Blew hard all Night
with some rain, we started this
morning at 8 A M to find the
Natives - we travelled over as good
a Country as I have yet met with
and if Possible richer Land, thinly
