Mount Mercer

the three Creeks I crossed I am
inclined to think is the same
running in different directions
and emptys itself into the River
however, this Country is well
watered so far the Timber
is the only thing I now see
that is difficient, we past a
small forest about 2 miles in length
of She oack, about 8 or 10 to the
Acre, and from 12 Inches down-
wards in size, good shelter &
excellent Grass - the last creek
I have Named Eliza's Creek
after Mrs. B- the whole Land
I have Pased up to this time 12 Oclock
is as usual verry good - and
plains seen 20 & 30 miles distance
assended the Top of a Beautifull
Hill bear of timber at the Top with
a few She oak on the sides we
here have from where I am sitting
a View all round I think I may say
40 miles or more each way of
