bark a Wattle, was scratched
some figures representing
Blacks in the act of fighting, I
copyed the same as near as I could
we went up a small rise of
excellent soil with Grass above
my Knee’s, we then Kept up the
River for a few miles and stoped
for the Night, in a corner along
side the River I gave it the Name
of Gumm's Corner, after I got a
little Tea and somethink to Eat
I with 4 of my Natives took a circut
of about 13 miles up the River, which
was runing in a north direction
I found the whole of the Land verry good
with excellent warm Hills and
valley’s with Grass 3 feet high
were it had not been burnt
which is the case in most part
that it as been late in the Autumn
the young grass is now 10 & 12
Inches high and beautifull feed
for any Kind of Stock we heard
