day in the morning, and expected
fair Wind - A Bullock
slaughtered to day in this Town
the natives went out and caught
three Kangaroo for the Dogs –
W - d the P - t quite Drunk
at this Inn to day -

13th May – 1835


during the Night it began
again to blow and heavy
rain, and this morning verry
foggy with rain and blowing
very strong again from the
West, quite impossible to get
out to do any good up to
this moment 10 Oclock - every
person in George Town smiling
at Beef Stakes for Breakfast
this morning before this not an
ounce of fresh Meat could be
got for 3 or 4 days back the
whole of this day the wind
