If he did I would even go into the Bear
Garden myself to impeach him but
nothing short of such excitement would
induce me to take a Seat where so many
Slaves & Knaves are congregated and so
thinly interspersed with honest & patriotic
men - God help the wicked! I have asked
Mr. S. to select and buy for me a tract of one
two or three thousand acres within the
reserved territory with a view of establishing
my son there for agency or other business
but he is too young to be placed alone
in charge - I would at the same time
have a farm to amuse and employ
him until business becomes extensive
enough to occupy his and any partner's
(that chance may
give him)
time - he would be within 5 or 6 hours
ride of the large Sheep run and might
make a run to that run any day
he chose to run
