where near Point Henry. The Point itself shd
be reserved. The beautiful Flat behind
Corroia wd answer well for a Township if
fresh water could be obtained.

Received an address from the Inhabitants
of Geelong &c and in the afternoon went
up the Marrabul River to the Stations of
Manifold Sutherland & Russell. Thence
crossed over a bleak clay plain 7 miles wide
to the Barwin here but a small River
between high banks. But on the banks of this
River and of the Marrabul there are some
fine green Valleys with good pasture and
the slopes of the Barrabul Hills which form the
N. bank of the Barwin are fine Sheep
Walks. Returning down the Barwin visited
Buckley's Cave & Falls & thence to the junction
of the Marrabul & Barwin and up the
latter to the Encampment. Saw some fine
Country on this side of 20 miles.

Left the Camp at qr past 7 to proceed to Clarke's
Station on the Wereaby. Proceeded by a high
& bleak open plain with coarse herbage
intending to pass between Willimanata (Station
Peak) and Annaki Yowen. Dray broke
down & continued with some difficulty to
reach a chain of Ponds under the former
Hills about 10 miles from the point of the
Morning's departure. Encamped here –
distance 10 miles. Another dray came up in
the Evening.

Proceeded at qr past 7 to regain the direct
line from Cowey's to Clarke's Station. Passed
over plains of the same description as yesterday
5 miles and thence thro' a wood of stunted
Trees which stretches across from Willimanata
to Annaki Yowen Hills 5 miles more thence
