The Alfred Deakin Prize for an Essay Advancing Public Debate

The Prize for Best Music Theatre Script
The Grollo Ruzzene Foundation Prize for Writing about Italians in Australia

In 2008 the following awards will NOT be offered: The Prize for Science Writing and The Village Roadshow Prize for Screen Writing.

The winners of the 12 categories of the 2008 Awards were announced on Monday 1 September by the Premier John Brumby.
