One Georges Mora Fellowship of up to $10,000 is awarded to a recognised contemporary artist who is an Australian citizen or resident.
The fellowship is for six months fulltime, or one year part-time. Both individuals and those working collaboratively can apply.
Fellowship requirements
The successful applicant must start and finish their fellowship within 12 months of the award's announcement and give a public presentation of their project's results.
Selection process
The Georges Mora Foundation board awards the fellowship based on the advice of a selection panel that includes the foundation, the Library, the Alliance Française and other representatives.
Applicants must submit a written application with supporting visual material of up to five images or five minutes of time-based work presented on a DVD or CD.
Selection criteria includes standard of work, reason for applying, professional experience and availability to undertake the fellowship. The application must include the names of three referees.
