The Summer Read 2015–16 competition terms and conditions

How to enter

Entrants must enter their full details on the form and either submit their completed form online or if printed via the entry box. Only one entry per person allowed.

Conditions of entry

This competition is an initiative of State Library Victoria, 328 Swanston Street, Melbourne, Victoria, 3000 ('Library').

Entry into the competition means you accept these terms and conditions.

Entry is FREE.

Entry is open to Australian residents only. Competition entrants must be over the age of 18.

Employees of the Library and its agencies associated with this promotion, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.

The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of prizes.

No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.

All entries become the property of the Library.

If the entrant gives permission (i.e. by ticking the relevant checkbox), the Library may use the entrant’s names, postal and/or email address for Library marketing and communication purposes. Any personal information entrants provide will be treated confidentially and in accordance with our Privacy statement.

The Library reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without notice.

Dates

The competition commences on 1 December 2015 at 12am.

Entries close on 14 February 2016 at 11.59pm.

Prize draw & notification

The prize will be drawn at State Library Victoria on 11 March 2016.

The winner will be notified by email and/or SMS notification. If, despite reasonable efforts by the Library, a potential prize winner does not respond to the Library within 21 days of the date of notification, the prize(s) will be forfeited and the Library reserves the right to select a new winner.

If the winner is unable to be contacted due to provision of incorrect details, the Library reserves the right to select a new winner.

At the discretion of the Library, details may be published via a range of Library publications, which includes, but is not limited to: the Library website, social media channels, print or online magazines and enewsletters.

Prize

The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. There is one prize only.

The prize includes:

  • Prize 1: worth $1500
  • Prize 2: worth $900
  • Prize 3: worth $600
  • 10 x other prizes worth $300 each

The total prize value is over $6000.
