Anthony Woods argues that establishing accurate statistics is critical, and that we (the private and public sectors and individuals) must act now to reduce greenhouse emissions or the cost will be greater in the future. He highlights private sector efforts to meet the challenge of global climate change and provides lessons learned from public-private partnerships.
Anthony is director, Public and Government Affairs, Origin Energy Australia. He's responsible for Origin's relationships with governments, their agencies, the media and public affairs. He's also currently a board member of the Committee for Melbourne and the Energy Retailers Association of Australia, and chair of the NEMMCo Participant Advisory Committee.
This presentation was part of the 'Meeting the Challenge of Climate Change' seminar at the State Library of Victoria, 27 March 2007.
