Living library workshop – primary

An interactive workshop exploring the Library's historic and current purpose and cultural value, and incorporating effective writing techniques.

The Living library workshop takes students on an interactive, multimodal and engaging trail around the Library. Students will discover the Library's purpose and cultural value to Victoria, in the past, today and into the future. During the workshop they will also learn effective writing techniques to create an online exhibition.


Students will:

  • identify, explore and organise ideas drawn from a wide range of sources around the Library
  • critically evaluate and justify creative choices
  • understand the purpose of the Library and its cultural value to Victoria – past, present and future
