Barbara Brend on the 'Khamsa' of Nizami & the 'Khamsa' of Amir Khusrau

In this lecture, Dr Barbara Brend introduces the similarities and differences between illustrations of the Khamsa of celebrated Persian poet Nizami, written in the late 12th century, and the Khamsa of Amir Khusrau written in India 100 years later. 

Dr Barbara Brend is an independent scholar whose research focuses on form and meaning in Persian and Mughal manuscript illustration.
