When there are no longer any first-generation Holocaust survivors, their stories will live on through recorded testimony. The preservation, presentation and use of the testimony – and related personal photos and artefacts – collected by the Shoah Foundation Visual History Archive and Melbourne's Jewish Holocaust Centre will be discussed by:
- Mark Baker, Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation, Monash University
- Jayne Josem, curator and head of collections, Jewish Holocaust Centre
- Konrad Kwiet, adjunct professor in Jewish Studies, Sydney University and resident historian at the Sydney Jewish Museum
- Michele Langfield, School of History – Heritage & Society, Deakin University
This talk is part of the Making Public Histories series presented in partnership with the Monash University Institute for Public History and the History Council of Victoria.
