Families are a growing audience for all cultural institutions, but they place particular demands upon how exhibitions are curated, designed and programed.
In this panel discussion, you'll hear about strategies for working with young children and their families from speakers who have developed successful programs and exhibitions that appeal to wider audiences.
The panel, chaired by Robert Heather, Events and Exhibitions, State Library of Victoria includes:
- Mary Featherston, exhibition designer
- Dianne Hilyear, program coordinator, National Gallery of Victoria
- Mike Shuttleworth, manager, Centre for Youth Literature, State Library of Victoria
- Margaret Sinnott, education officer (kindergartens & primary schools), Warrnambool Art Gallery
You can also listen to speakers Dr Barbara Piscitelli, Simon Spain and Margaret Griffiths discuss their strategies below.
This event was made possible by a partnership between Museums Australia (Victoria) and the State Library of Victoria.
