This short online learning course for teachers and school library teams will highlight the skills and tools required for 21st-century research.
The four-unit, self-paced program will enable participants to sharpen their research techniques, use the latest web tools, and support students to research effectively in the changing online environment.
We will focus on:
- search concepts, strategies and skills for a range of search engines and repositories
- online sources and resources
- web tools for note-taking, reference, annotation and information management.
This hands-on course is part of the Personal Learning Network program. It offers online mentoring and support, relevant information, great examples of web 2.0 in action, regular web conferences, and a wealth of trusted resources for you to explore at your own pace.
The next Research Toolkit course will begin on 14 October 2013.
