Stephen Murray-Smith Lecture

This annual lecture commemorates Stephen Murray-Smith's contribution to Australian intellectual life and promotes research and debate in the broad areas of his interest and influence.

Stephen was an academic and founding editor of Overland magazine. When he died in 1988 he left a vast collection of papers dating back to the 1930s which is now part of the Library's Australian Manuscript Collection.
