Join us for a free seminar about the changing role of libraries in an increasingly digital world, where knowledge is fragmented across electronic formats and items can be continually updated.

This seminar will examine the implications of the digital world for libraries and researchers, and aims to bring together two groups: those engaged in research, and library personnel involved in or interested in this topic.

  • Peter McMahon, Director, Digital Strategy, State Library of Victoria
  • Philip G Kent, University librarian, University of Melbourne
  • Howard Quenault, Director, Computer Management Techniques.

Please note: a limited number of participants will be given the opportunity to view the Library's digitisation process on Tuesday 8 October.

This event is presented in association with the State Library User Organisations Council.
