Join our expert panel for a discussion about the experiences of Iranians who have migrated to Australia due to historical events including the 1979 revolution and the 1980s Iran–Iraq war, and the ensuing issues of identity, displacement, home and belonging.

Yalda Hakim, SBS Dateline presenter, will lead the discussion. Panellists include Professor Amin Saikal am, Director, Centre for Arabic and Islamic Studies, Australian National University; Dr Mammad Aidani, playwright and author of Welcoming the stranger: narratives of identity and belonging in an Iranian diaspora; and poet, writer and filmmaker Granaz Moussavi, director of My Tehran for sale.
